Assalamualykum my beautiful readers, Ramadan Mubarak! Hope you are having a lovely Ramadan?
I apologise for the fact it takes forever for me to write. In sha ALLAH I’ll be more frequent with my posts.
Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time around people being in university and all, I also get to relate with a lot of people and discuss long episodes of the different dramas we all live. On these many discussions I’ve noticed that a lot of people are negative, sometimes a little bit too negative and wallahi I dislike negativity so much, it makes me very irritated to the extent I would not want to speak to a person who is always nagging about the bad that happens to them. I’m more of an optimistic person to be honest – too optimistic my friends will say, but personally I’d rather be overly optimistic, than slightly pessimistic.
No one knows anyone’s story, what they have been through or what they are going through. If you listen to other people’s stories you would regret complaining about your life, seek forgiveness and thank Allah for what you have. I mean this life is imperfect, this life wasn’t made to be perfect, and we were not created to be perfect. Perfection is with Allah SWT. In the afterlife, in Jannah (May we all meet there In sha Allah, ameen) there is perfection. If this life was meant to be perfect, there would be no death, no afterlife. Be content and trust Allah. Look at the good things you have, the good things that happen to you. Thinking about the bad is only going to make you depressed, depressed for no reason at all.
As Muslims, I feel it is necessary to be optimistic, being overly optimistic won’t be a crime I suppose, because we have Allah and with Allah (SWT) all things are possible. Allah tells us time after time that He is always there for us, when we need Him, He is there. Allah is there no matter what time of the day, how cold, how hot, stormy, sunny, Allah is always there so call out to Him. We should always have in our minds that Allah is sufficient for us, if we have Allah why should we worry? Why should we be sad? No matter what hardship falls you, Allah in His infinite wisdom knows why. Every little particle of air, which you may feel is insignificant is for a reason. Learn to put your trust in Allah.
In Qur’an 40:60;
“Call on me, I will answer you”
And in Quran 25:31
“But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and helper”.
Remember the story of Prophet Ibrahim A.S who was thrown in the fire, but the fire did not burn him, because Allah was with him. He said;
“Allah alone is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs” Qur’an 3:173
The knife didn’t kill Ismail A.S, nor did the whale eat Yunus A.S and the sea didn’t drown Musa A.S. If Allah is with you, if Allah is protecting you, sustaining you, you have nothing, absolutely nothing to worry about.
Allah SWT is the one that controls all that exists in the heavens and in the earth, put your trust in Allah and do things that are pleasing to Him, do things for His sake. Allah is always with those who want to be with Him.
He says in Surat Al-Baqarah verse 152
“Remember me – I will remember you.”
Allah SWT says “take one step towards me, I will take ten steps towards you. Walk towards me, I will run to you” – Hadith Qudsi
Subhana’Allah, Allah SWT keeps calling us towards His mercy, His love, His kindness and yet we are sad.
Trust Allah, put all your trust in Allah and live your life, I promise you, you will be happy for the rest of your life and you would spread your happiness to every single soul you come across in your life. – In sha ALLAH
Now smile because it’s Sunnah and because you have so many things to be thankful for.
